JOHN M's Opinion: While Chad Ogea may never be in the class of Roger Clemens or Randy Johnston, he seems to be a valuable addition to any team's pitching staff. His performance in the 1997 World Series gives the indication that he is one of those quiet, unassuming pitchers who will come through for you in the big games. However, while the move to Philadelphia may mean a permanent spot in the starting rotation for Ogea, the chances of him returning to the post-season are slim to none. His stock may rise with the Phillies, but only because their ace, Curt Schilling, and the only real marque player on the team, may be headed elsewhere by 1999's opening day. However, if Ogea can make an impact on the team, he may be able to head to a contender when his contract is up.
TYPO's Opinion : Chad has not been having too good a time since leaving The Indians, lets hope that now that he is back he can regain some of his pitching strength, and maybe play again for the major league team.
