Resides half the year in Atherton, California and
half in Tonbridge Kent.

Been playing since he was ten years old.

Played for Great Britain in 1993 at age 14 for the 13-15 age group team
that went to Italy.

In 1994, played for the 16-18 Great Britain team in Holland.

Started playing for the Brighton Bucs in 1995, after starting
with the Tonbridge Bobcats (1989-1990).
-
In 1995 started at 3rd base for the 16-18s Great Britain team in Vienna,
Austria, also made the GB senior team. Wasn't meant to play for the seniors
on trip to North Carolina, but the starting 3rd baseman hurt his foot, and
Alex had to play. He was 16 that year.

Named Bucs MVP, 1995

In 1996, also made the GB Seniors.

1997 played for the 16-18s at the tournament held in Hull.

California Central Coast Section, Division 1 Champions, 1997 (ranked
3rd best High School team in California)

Named to European 16-18 All-Star Team for B-Pool Tournament in
Vienna

National Premier League Batting Champion, 1998 (.536 batting
average)

Named Bucs MVP, 1998

Wears #4 out of respect for Lou Gehrig.

Alex on Gehrig: "I always wear number 4 for Brighton, in respect for
Lou Gehrig, a former first baseman for the Yankees. He died of
Polio ("Lou Gehrig's Disease," as it is now called) in 1941, but always played
hard and clean. He was also one of the best players ever."

Alex, is a good young player who is going
to read this so I have to say really nice things! Hmm.. lets see,
can I make him blush! Cute, funny, and down to earth, he enjoys the
game for the game itself. Plays hard and goes out to win. And when
I have seen him play more I shall add more! Feel free to email me YOUR
comments about Alex.. we can really embarrass him then! I will of course
